LAOCH NA SEACHTAINE:

Heroes of the week this week, are 2 of our senior footballers, Mr Andy O’Brien and Mr. Paddy Small, who have both accepted positions on the management team of our under 14 football team. This is a huge boost for the squad, as these guys will bring a wealth of experience to the team and will surely give them a huge boost. Well done Andy and Paddy, take a bow, you are our Laoch Na Seachtaine!
 .
A week full of football with a host of midweek juvenile matches including victories for our under 13’s and 15’s and 16’s who went top of their division, our 11’s girls and our ladies adult team who are on quite a winning streak, and this was followed by victories for our juniors and seniors in the 1st round of championship. This was tempered however, by an unlucky loss for our intermediates to a great Towers of Lusk team. We wish them all the best in the rest of their campaign. The team was however given good news, in that they have just been sponsored by Horan estate agents (upstairs in Omni shopping centre) and they looked sharp sporting their new jerseys on Saturday.

There is an event of interest for many of our members, our executive officer Cliona NiLiathain has arranged a tour of Leinster house on April 26th (Wednesday) at 2:30. If interested, please contact Cliona directly. This event is open to all friends and members of the club and should be of great historical and modern interest.

Finally, the club would like to offer deepest sympathies to the family of Aisling Ducie and Gloria Hill, who both had sad bereavements during the last week. Our thoughts go out to both families during this very difficult time.

We are running a cycling fundraising event in conjunction with MS Ireland on June 24th this year where we ride from Creggan Kickhams Co. Antrim to our clubhouse over 120 miles. Regular spins and training events have been organised. We are hoping to have over 30 riders of all ages and abilities in the event, so if you want to express an interest or enquire about the event, please email pro.ballymunkickhams.dublin@gaa.ie or ask any member of the committee for information. The more cyclists the merrier and the easier it is for all to take part.
